their new pools.
Dig to swim in nine weeks. Our neighbors are still waiting on a permit from the company we almost hired.
One crew the whole way through. The same faces that dug the hole set the tile. You could tell they'd done it a hundred times.
The 3D design sold us. We saw our own backyard with the pool in it before we signed anything, and the fixed price stayed fixed.
They treated our yard like it was theirs. Clean site every single evening, and the schedule they promised is the schedule we got.
Two years in and they still answer on the second ring when I have a question about the equipment.
Everyone warned us building a pool is a nightmare. Ours took eleven weeks and the worst part was choosing the tile.
We locked a fixed price back in September and that was the number we paid when they finished, right down to the dollar. They hit caliche digging out the deep end and I braced for a change order that never showed up. The spa and the sun ledge were both in that first quote.
We are about eight weeks in and I have already lost count of the mornings I have swum laps before work. Most evenings we end up floating out there with the lights low, and it stays quiet enough to hear the crickets.
Two other builders walked our lot and passed because of the grade. These folks figured out a raised design with a retaining wall, and about ten weeks later the steepest corner of the yard is where we sit every evening.
Honestly the spa gets more use than the pool. Most nights after work we end up out there with the jets running, and my husband uses it every morning for his back before the kids are up. Eight weeks from dig to first soak, and it has become the spot we actually live in.
I was honestly nervous about the cost, but they sat with us at the kitchen table and walked through three financing options with the actual monthly numbers, not vague ballparks. We picked a payment that fit our budget and the build wrapped in about nine weeks with no surprises on the paperwork.
I could not picture how a pool would fit our sloped lot, so being able to walk through the 3D design and see it sitting in our actual backyard is what finally got me to sign. The finished pool looks just like that render, right down to where the afternoon sun lands on the water.
We had a crew in our backyard for about seven weeks, and every single evening before they left they swept the deck, coiled the hoses, and hauled off the scrap. On the last day you honestly could not tell heavy equipment had ever been back there, apart from the new pool itself. Our neighbors kept commenting on how tidy the whole job stayed.
The outdoor kitchen they tucked in beside the pool is what changed everything. Sunday dinners have moved outside for good, and somehow ours is the house everyone ends up at now. Dig to first swim ran about eleven weeks, and the built-in grill and bar get more use than I ever expected.
We had a question about the pump timer settings about four months after they finished, and I honestly expected to get a voicemail. The owner picked up on the second ring and walked me through it right there in the driveway on speakerphone. Nice to know they still take the call once the check has cleared.
The same three guys were here from the dig all the way to the final fill, so nobody ever showed up confused about what the last crew had done. It ran about nine weeks, and you can see the care in the waterline tile, the spacing is dead even the whole way around and the plaster finish is smooth under your feet.
